Box build combines electronic, mechanical, cable, firmware, labeling, test, and packaging requirements. A complete data package is essential because the finished product has more interfaces than the PCBA alone.
Mechanical and cable data
Provide enclosure drawings, 3D files, hardware, torque values, thermal materials, adhesives, cable and harness drawings, routing, connector labels, and approved cosmetic standards.
Configuration and test
Define firmware versions, programming sequence, serial-number creation, calibration, product configuration, functional test, safety checks, test fixtures, and result storage. Golden units and approved limits should be controlled.
Final release
Specify labels, manuals, accessories, protective films, packing method, carton marks, pallet rules, and shipment documents. A final inspection checklist should connect the product drawing, configuration, test record, and packaging requirement.
